St. Eugene’s Reflection

Even though I learned about residential schools before through Yaqan Nukiy school, visiting St. Eugene added a personal, emotional, and spiritual layer to that learning. It reminded me that truth and reconciliation are not just academic they are lived experiences that continue to shape people and places today. Isaac’s storytelling and humour showed what strength and healing can look like, and the energy in the space reminded me why it’s so important to keep these stories alive with respect and empathy.
